Walking along the shore path after our
whale watching trip was cancelled. |
Zoey - Today on our second day we were supposed to go whale watching, to go on a big boat and see the whales, but because it rained and it was really foggy, it got cancelled. So we went on the bus to a little beach and we put our feet in. The water was really cold. Then we went back on the bus to a different boat that goes to the Cranberry Islands and we went to Isleford (also known as Little Cranberry Island). The boat was really fun, we all sat outside on the boat and felt the wind.

Do we look like Isleforders? |
When we got off on the island, my mom told me that there are only 70 people that live on the island and I couldn't believe it. There are two schools, one with zero kids and one with 12 kids.We went to a museum and we saw all kinds of stuff about what it was like to live on the island. There were clothes there that they used to wear and me and Rakia put them on. Then we started walking more and we saw this house that in their front yard, they made a mini golf. We played in the mini golf and the money goes to charity (Haiti and Gulf Coast). The man told us that his neighbor is the creator of Spongebob. I couldn't believe it that the creator of Spongebob and right there on the porch I could see the creator of Spongebob's mom. Then we walked more and saw some views and then we went back to the boat to go back to Northeast Harbor, and when we got off in Bar Harbor we walked around and had some ice cream. It was a really good day. I can't wait for tomorrow to go biking.

I should golf correctly. |
You're at one of our favorite places on the planet. If it hasn't already been brought to your attention, you must try the Jordan Pond House, even if it's just for tea and their special popovers.
ReplyDeleteWish we were there with you!
Enjoy the family bliss.
